In My Life as an Educator, Candous Brown discusses the highs and lows of her experiences in the
classroom. She concludes each chapter with a lesson she learned as a result of her experiences from
that particular year. Because the book was originally intended to be a devotional, she includes several
scriptural excerpts in the final section of the text and relates them to specific situations that took place
in her classroom or specific students she met while teaching.
